The fact of the matter is that men (especially men under 25) get in more accidents and get more tickets. It's not that we get cheaper insurance…it's just that yours is more expensive. The price will go down when you turn 26, and/or when you get married.
She annoys me too, and that red lipstick of hers has got to go.
if you actually took the time to check you'd find that men are still better off i.e. cheaper insurance, on these 'women' only insurers as you call them as they are NOT just women only.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that in any case where the police report states it is the other person's fault, that person is responsible for all damages. If you wanted, you could sue her for even a slight scratch on your car and she would have to pay out of her personal income. What an idiot for not having insurance! It is the law…
In the future, just in case, make sure that you have under insured and uninsured motorist coverage for your own vehicle. Most rear end jobs are found to be the fault of the person in the back, even though it is often caused by reckless lane changes. The idea is that in most cases the driver in the rear should be keeping a safe enough distance from those in front. It is very hard to prove that the car in front is at fault, so you are fortunate that the police declared her the guilty party.

the insurance companies are not in the business for the good of their health, they are out to make a healthy profit out of all of us.
The reason that they can offer discounted insurance for us ladies is that we cost less, we actually have more accidents, but they tend to be minor and therefore cost less to settle. Youngsters have more and that's why it costs so much to insure if you are a young driver.
If the TV ads have sexist comments in them, then I would complain to the people who regulate the ads, I agree that this bit isn't fair, but you need to get your voice heard in the right places.

Because it's business and you don't have to do business with them. But I believe if they can discriminate (which they aren't supposed to) like that based on personal preferance, then it shouldn't be a law that we have to buy car insurence. Who knows? They could monopolize and we HAVE to get insurance from them. (that's also illegal, but hey….)
